Karuna International activities are conducted in full swing to promote vegetarianism and imprint live and let live policy.
28.10.2017: Humane Education Teachers Training for the teachers of various schools in and around Perambur was conducted at our school. The programme commenced with Lighting the Kuthuvilakku by the office bearers of Karuna International , Sri .Suresh Kankaria, Vice- President, Sri. A.R. Shantilal Nahar, Vice-President , Sri.A.S.RamaMurugesh, Education Officer and Smt. B. Usha Rani , Principal of our school.
Sri Dulichand Jain, Founder Karuna International addressed the teachers. He said that the main aim of Conducting teachers training programme is to create awareness about Karuna values such as adopting vegetarianism, prevention of cruelty to animals, protecting environment from various threats. 49 teachers from 23 schools actively participated in the various sessions.
M. Dhinesh of class XII E and S. Sanjeevi Krishnan of IX E were conferred with the title DAYAWAN and a cash award of Rs. 500 each for their act of humanity. Our school is also the proud recipient of special award and a cash prize of Rs.2000 for organizing Karuna Intra School Programmes.
