VES Interschool Competition – Group Songs, Bhajans, Yogasana and Cultural Quiz are conducted to enrich the skill of the students.
Fine arts - Socially useful productive work (SUPW) such as Handicrafts, Carnatic Music, Classical dance, Drawing and Painting form a part of curriculum under the able guidance of experts.
Annual Day - highlights the achievements of students round the year. Variety entertainment programmes also centre around our culture.
Kids Day – The hidden potentialities of the tiny tots are brought out through recitation of rhymes with illustrations, famous quotes of national leaders, stage play, song, Bhajans and classical dance.
The prestigious Bhakthaswaraa Bhajan Competitions- Semi Final Round was held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore. Out of 40 schools our school is one among the 11 schools selected for finals. In the final round our students won the sixth place.
Doordharshan Podhigai conducted Bhajan Competition titled “Isai Thoppu”. Vivekananda Vidyalaya Perambur was qualified for the second round and in finals our school Bhajan students under the banner “Perambur Bhajan Mandali” won the II Prize and received a cash award of Rs. 30,000.

Colours Day
Learning about colour is an important part of a child’s Pre School Development, a part of everyday life. Colour plays a vital role in the World in which we live. Colour can sway thinking, change actions and cause reactions. Recognizing the colours and identifying the colour names is an important part of a child’s development. Early identification of colours helps to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words.

NUTRITION DAY
Nutrition is important in our life. Eating balanced diet is vital for good health and well being. Food provides our bodies with energy, proteins, essential fats, vitamins and minerals to live, grow and function properly. To inculcate this among the children our school celebrated nutrition day for the classes UKG, I and II on 20.09.18 & 21.09.18 (Thursday & Friday). Students dressed up according to the class concepts such as agriculture, vegetables, fruits, milk and milk products and awareness about junk foods. Our Vidyalaya Principal Smt. K. Sujatha and our Hon. Correspondent Shri. K. E. Srinivasan welcomed Shri. K. Veerachamy Director, VIERT, Shri. L. Ramamoorthy- Joint Secretary, VES, Smt. Prema Mahadevan- E.O, VES, Smt. Subhashree Principal- VV/VYP, Shri. Pasuthai Ganesan- SMDC Member and Incharges from various units. 595 (UKG- 196, I- std -197, II std-202) Children exhibited their talents through their speech, debate, rhymes, villupattu etc. Nearly 1000 parents visited the exhibits and enjoyed the nutritious food prepared on the day. It was the team work of students, parents and teachers.
UKG ACTIVITY - KRIYA KALAP was celebrated virtually through Youtube live on 22.01.2021 Friday between 10.30 am and 11.30 a.m. Smt.Prema Mahadevan Education Officer, Principal Smt.K.Sujatha, graced the occasion and blessed our students. Our children exhibited their outstanding talents on various topics like famous personalities, cartoon characters, fruits and vegetables, birds and animals. Our Principal congratulated the children and conveyed her heartfelt appreciation for their wonderful performnace. EO Mam appreciated parents for their fabulous efforts to make the program a grand success.
