Vidyalaya brings out the innate talents of the students by encouraging them to participate in various competitions conducted by school and other agencies. Activities are conducted class wise to bring out Literary, Creative and Scientific Skills. Students are trained to give stage show such as devotional songs and classical dance. Band Boys visit the nearby temples as special invitee during festive season and exhibit the talents. Classical Dance and Drama play a vital role in all occasions.
VES Interschool Competition – Group Songs, Bhajans, Yogasana and Cultural Quiz are conducted to enrich the skill of the students.
Fine arts - Socially useful productive work (SUPW) such as Handicrafts, Carnatic Music, Classical dance, Drawing and Painting form a part of curriculum under the able guidance of experts.
Annual Day - highlights the achievements of students round the year. Variety entertainment programmes also centre around our culture.
Kids Day – The hidden potentialities of the tiny tots are brought out through recitation of rhymes with illustrations, famous quotes of national leadlers, stage play, song, Bhajans and classical dance are the highlights of the kids day.
Alumni of VVJC, Perambur, shouldered the entire responsibility of conducting “Ganitha”, Thematic Mathematics Exhibition on 27.10.2012 to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of mathematics legend Sri.Srinivasa Ramanujan. The exorbitant involvement shown by alumni of Perambur during the thematic exhibition stands testimony for implementation of man-making education imparted by VES. Sri.N.Gopalaswami, President, VES, Dr.Parameswaran Sankaran, Professor, Dept. Of Mathematics, Institute of Mathematical Science, Chennai presided over the function and inaugurated the mathematics lab. Dr.Sethuraman, Associate Professor, Dept. Of Mathematics, Anna University, Chennai, Sri.C.Chittibabu, Chairman, Ganga Foundation and Sri.S.Senthilkumar, Managing director, adorned the dais for valedictory function.
16 schools of VES participated. Various models were displayed. Prizes were given for the best performing team at all levels and also for the winners in quiz. A cultural fiesta enthralled the audience.
